NBA partnered with North Shore Rescue (NSR) to deliver their new main operations base, emergency response facility, and community outreach building near the Cleveland Dam, at the base of Grouse Mountain. The design honors NSR’s identity, integrating their logo and the iconic “Lions Peaks.” Utilising natural materials like reclaimed wood siding, the structure harmonizes with its picturesque surroundings. NBA achieved a cost-effective, high-performance, low-carbon design with a functional layout. Built by NSR volunteers, the largely prefabricated building, utilising Structural Insulated Panels (SIPs), exemplifies efficiency in construction and sustainability.
