low-carb friar

North Vancouver, BC

This is one of NBA’s research projects, the aim of which is to allow the knowledge-gained inform our larger scale projects. It is a low embodied carbon, net zero energy, step code 5, adaptable multi-unit, multi-generational home in North Vancouver, near Deep Cove. The owners will be able to enjoy views across the inlet towards Belcarra from the upper deck, as well as having a secluded south-west facing inner courtyard. Lower Coast Building Group has teamed up with NBA and will be using prefabricated West Eco panels and ICF. We are looking forward to documenting the whole process.
